As both parties are legislating criticism of socialism, Americans’ support for Medicare For All has intensified to the point where the old attacks may no longer work.
The trick for Medicare for All advocates in the 2028 Democratic primaries is to move aggressively and define the debate. When the corporate Democrats scream socialism, remind voters that these candidates are bankrolled by the health care industry. Name names and provide amounts. This is a war, and it has to be fought like one.
Please continue exposing how traditional Medicare is SO much less expensive than Medicare Advantage and the ACA, and how traditional Medicare patients and taxpayers are forced to subsidize the profiteering of the Medicare Advantage ecosystem.
Socialized medicine prioritizes public health over corporate profits. Medicine under American capitalism prioritizes profits for huge corporations over all of our health.
The corporations deserve to die, not the people. Medicare for All would create justice by destroying the parasites causing all of us to get bad healthcare for outrageous prices.
Two things. Tax the shit out of billionaires until they aren’t. Second why do we stop taxing social security once someone makes a bunch of money? Tax all the income. But mainly tax the rich Bezos et al. This has gone so far overboard. Trickle down economics is just pee
The Earth's climate has changed throughout history. Just in the last 650,000 years there have been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat, with the abrupt end of the last ice age about 11,700 years ago marking the beginning of the modern climate era — and of human civilization. Most of these climate changes are attributed to very small variations in Earth’s orbit that change the amount of solar energy our planet receives.
The current warming trend is of particular significance because most of it is extremely likely (greater than 95 percent probability) to be the result of human activity since the mid-20th century and proceeding at a rate that is unprecedented over decades to millennia.
Earth-orbiting satellites and other technological advances have enabled scientists to see the big picture, collecting many different types of information about our planet and its climate on a global scale.
This body of data, collected over many years, reveals the signals of a changing climate.
The heat-trapping nature of carbon dioxide and other gases was demonstrated in the mid-19th century.
Their ability to affect the transfer of infrared energy through the atmosphere is the scientific basis of many instruments flown by NASA.
There is no question that increased levels of greenhouse gases must cause the Earth to warm in response.
Ice cores drawn from Greenland, Antarctica, and tropical mountain glaciers show that the Earth’s climate responds to changes in greenhouse gas levels.
Ancient evidence can also be found in tree rings, ocean sediments, coral reefs, and layers of sedimentary rocks.
This ancient, or paleoclimate, evidence reveals that current warming is occurring roughly ten times faster than the average rate of ice-age-recovery warming.
One factor yoy don't mention - the chaotic roll out of the ACA in 2014 Anyone with decent insurance, such as union members like me, were not reassured. Anyone with ongoing medical issues particularly recoiled at the prospect of being exposed to a breakdown like that.
Things have changed. We're post Luigi, and now the Republicans refusal to extend Biden's tax credits has brought on a crisis. The ACA has been their White Whale since it was enacted, even Trump floating a 2 year extension hasn't moved them.
So there's going to be another bite at that apple. A public option, which the ACA originally had, is probably still the best option,as it can first discipline, and then gradually replace, private insurers with a minimum of disruption
I guess the one thing that puzzles me is, how does the frenzied denunciation of "horrors of socialism" by a bunch of people more and more widely regarded by the whole public as a gang of pedophiles and snuff porn film impresarios cause people to become LESS inclined towards socialism, rather than more??
Let us all also change the term Medicare Advantage and be sure to call it Medicare Disadvantage. It is a total sellout of our healthcare to corporations and the middlemen who profit by selling such plans. I’m not sure who coined the phrase but Ralph Nader always says “Medicare Disadvantage” to instill the awareness to get people to steer clear of any Medicare ‘Advantage’ plans.
Thank you David! This needs to be the paramount issue going forward until resolved to We The People’s liking. The funneling of money to Congress and advertisers to prevent Medicare for All also needs to be continuously spotlighted. (Not to mention that Congress is already beholden to the Israel Lobby and AIPAC — which I am compelled to drop a dime on anywhere I use my voice!)

M4A also needs to be expanded to include vision, dental, and hearing coverage, which are commonly included in existing private plans.

We have socialized inclusive in Canada!
Our drug and medical bill are thousands of dollars cheaper than The US.
