Having some sort of top-down billionaire approved socialism is the type of American spirit and ingenuity that will see us through. Just enough to avoid any actual revolution, but not enough to fundamentally change anything. It will keep the gears rolling.

“Will the Democratic Party once again stand in the way of change and condemn America to the same downward spiral we’re now on?”

That’s easy! Yes, they will. They are already doing it.

Commie-Marxism is more durable than most imagine.

When the electorate can vote more goods and service from their 'elected officials', without having to actually EARN them, the momentum continues.

We are in an ideological war: capitalism/meritocracy VS. Communism/Collectivism

Nope. That is not what is at issue at all.

Besides, what you present is a false dichotomy.(

What's your point? No argument?

No point? OK, bye, sport.

Where does Chinese productivity fit into your dichotomy, capitalist or communist? Are Confucian cultures collectivist or meritocratic? When corruption gains the upper hand in a capitalist economy is it still "capitalist"?

You know, I really don't care that they make alot of money but ffs, why is it never enough? What happens to these once quasi normal people that they're brains become unable to see the rest of humanity suffering.

I'm not the biggest fan of cheering on some the villains of my youth. Yet hearing them acknowledge some of the problems ordinary people face shows growth on some level. I'll give them credit for that much.

Scaramucci says the latest reforms were in the “Renaissance period” - it may seem that way - but I think he’s actually referring to the Depression/FDR era of political and economic reform - what a depressingly ignorant putz he is. Then, followed by wisdom from Blankfein about how the little people need to be “given” a more progressive tax system, a higher “minimum”, and more freebies to level them up a little with the richest - yeah, they must have got a message of some sort - these are clearly extreme ideas only suggested because the sound of the tumbrils grows louder.

Congratulation David, your efforts have some traction, but talk is cheap. I think a lot more Lugis are necessary before real change happens. What did Mao say about political power...

The only way the Democrats change their platform is if the billionaires like Blankfein bankroll the DNC with specific conditions to swing more left. Not sure Blankfein will get through to his billionaire bros, though.
